Hawks ready for pre-season challenges

With pre-season training going well, Henley Hawks ready themselves for the new campaign with the first of their pre-season friendly matches this Saturday, as they take on London Irish Wild Geese at Dry Leas, kick-off 3pm. It will be a good test for the Hawks as the Geese, despite being relegated from National 2 South at the end of last season, will be looking to bounce back at the first attempt. It will also give Head Coach, Luke Allen an opportunity to see how the squad is coming together in preparation for the season opener against Sutton & Epsom on Saturday, September 7th.

Next Saturday, August 17th, also sees the Hawks in action at Dry Leas, this time against National 1 opposition, Rosslyn Park. This really does promise to be an exciting contest, and will be a real benchmark to see how far the Hawks have progressed as a team over the past 12 months. Entrance to both matches is free. Also showing in the Clubhouse that day will be the second Summer International between Wales and England, kick-off from Cardiff is 2.15pm, and you’ll be able to watch all the action on the big screens in the Clubhouse!
