It is with deep sadness that I have to inform you that Allan Hannah died on Sunday at Royal Berkshire hospital after a short illness. We all know that Allan was not only a great supporter of the club, but that over past years he was Finance Director of the club, and more recently organised the pre-match lunches with The Baskerville.
To me, as a personal friend, I found Allan very informative with a wealth of knowledge and even on the few occasions when I attempted to convey some of my own knowledge his response was always 'I KNOW THAT!'
Allan's attendance at home games and pre-match lunches through rain or shine, despite his disability, was paramount in his support of the Hawks, and was always full of great enthusiasm with the occasional criticism where justified.
I know that you will join me in sending Kathleen (Kate as we all know her) and her family sincere condolences at this very sad time.
Allan you will be truly missed but always in our hearts.
** Please note that Allan’s funeral will be at 12.15 on Monday 8th July at Reading Crematorium. It will be a Humanist cremation and it was Allan’s request that everyone comes dressed in colour. All are invited to the Baskerville afterwards.**
