Henley Hawks return to Dry Leas after two weeks since their last game following a weeks break from the league to avoid a clash with Six Nations matches.
This week’s game against Taunton Titans (K.O. 3pm) is the reverse fixture of the game in Somerset in November which resulted in a victory for the Hawks, 42-31, certainly playing their best rugby of the season as they took away the Titans unbeaten record. A remarkable feature of the game was the penalty kicked by prop Brad Cook fom the half-way-line as he had not been a goal-kicker in previous matches!
With a number of injuries which are subject to pre-match fitness tests there is a long list of replacements which will not be finalised until prior to this week’s game. However it does include prop Dave Manning who has not been available since October because of overseas duties. Potentially this will, nevertheless, mean that this should lead to a strong bench being available.
Spectators should be aware that because of the current weather conditions their is a high chance that the game my be subject to cancellation.
