Hawks Return To Dry Leas To Face Tonbridge Juddians

Henley Hawks return to Dry Leas this Saturday to play promoted Tonbridge Juddians who will be playing their first game at Dry Leas (kick-off 3pm).

The Hawks have faced successive defeats in games with the league leaders of Division 2 South, Cinderford (34-6) and Chinnor (33-28). The Hawks will be keen to avenge the loss at Tonbridge (20-14) and return to the form they had prior to Christmas which took them to 6th in the league.

The Hawks selection for this game shows four changes (one positional) from what started the game at Cinderford.

Once again there are changes in the front row, Brad Cook suffered an injury during the Cinderford game so Kieran Ball will start at loose head and Joe Morris, fit again, comes in at tight head in place of George Primett. The rest of the pack is unchanged.

There are two changes in the backs, one positional. Alan Awcock moves from fly-half to full back as Joe Butler comes back to partner George Jackson at half-back. The result of this means that Jack Robinson reverts to the bench.

The Hawks will face a Tonbridge side who have settled well enough into the league and are currently in 10th position just one point behind their close Kent rivals Canterbury whom they defeated 22-19. They have secured some notable scalps during the season; Bury St. Edmunds (50-17), Clifton (24-14), Taunton Titans (26-20).

We are delighted to welcome the family and many friends of Simon Priestley who tragically passed away last Saturday to the game tomorrow and we will be honouring him before kick-off.
