Hawks look to put things right against Tonbridge

The Hawks travel down to Kent on Saturday to face Tonbridge Juddians in the first fixture between the two sides. Having suffered their heaviest league defeat in last Saturday's 90-17 defeat at home to Cinderford, they will be determined to make amends for their woeful performance against a side heavily tipped for promotion. Facing them is a team brimming with confidence having defeated Clifton away, 24-14 last weekend and seemingly adjusting well to life in National 2 South following their promotion last season.

The Hawks will be bolstered by the return of Rob Bell at 7, Dave Manning at prop and Jack Robinson on the wing. There is also a league debut at centre for Will Janes, a product of Henley Youth and Shiplake College who impressed during pre-season training which included the match against Cardiff Met University.

Ten of the players who started last week are retained with some positional changes. The selection demonstrates that the answer to last weeks performance is to keep cool with thorough preparation and concentration on defensive work and particularly technique in tackling.
