Victorious at Vectis- Henley Mini & Junior Rugby dominates the South!

200 plus members of Henley Rugby Club Toured to Isle of Wight this last weekend having entered the Vectis Rugby Festival. This event is one of the longest running Rugby festivals and  competition travel to the Island from all over the South of England for a weekend of fun, festivities and hard fought Rugby.


Henley RFC entered 10 teams from ages under 8 to under 11, with 7 of the 10 teams winning their respective events and the remaining 4 making it through to the finals –“A fantastic result and a true demonstration of our strength in depth as a club “stated U11 Head Coach Dax Aiken.  Aiken also went on to state that “unlike some other clubs the Henley teams where made up of so called mixed ability players, some winning events in their 1st season of Rugby making theseresults all the more outstanding  ”.

Henley RFC M&J section has over 350 playingmembers from ages 6 through to 12 years old and with the RFU changing the rules this coming season in order to encourage more players to the sport , the club is expanding in order to attract new junior members . Children and Parents are encouraged to come to Dry Leas this coming September to kick start the new 2017 season and opening of the new clubhouse.
