Mini and Junior Update

With the coldest and wettest weekends hopefully behind us the Mini & Juniors head into the final months of the season looking forward to plenty of tournament rugby, silverware opportunities and tours. The Mini Section (U6-U12) travel to Marlow, Beaconsfield, and Amersham & Chiltern for rugby festivals plus they all have their respective County Championship festivals to look forward to. The Juniors come towards the end of their competitions and the U16 are riding high, unbeaten in BBO DivII, the U14 have a County final against Oxford RFC as usual and the U15’s are in their respective Plate Final against Banbury. Training from now in centre’s around preparing for these matches and competitions.

The Mini section is touring en masse in April with over 200 hundred heading to a rugby festival on the Isle of Wight, for the majority their first “overseas”, rugby experience. We would suggest the rethinking of your travel plans if you are heading that way on the weekend of the 23-25th April. The Junior sections are taking individual routes with tours planned to South Wales and the South Coast.

On Friday 29th April the M&J’s run the last event in the old clubhouse, (prior to the refurbishment) with our end of season party. Live music, dinner and generally quite a raucous night out. Please contact the Club if you wish to come and send off the old clubhouse in style.
